Meanwhile, lipid-based NPs can receive intrinsic or extrinsic stimuli to produce a response (usually rupture), with intrinsic motivations including various enzyme levels, metabolic changes, and other precision regulation, and extrinsic stimuli including physical stimuli such as sound, light, and electricity.
